SCKPA Lottery

To-date over £13,000 has been contributed to SCKPA funds and £7.5K given out in prizes!

Please ask your family, friends and neighbours to support the SCKPA by entering the Lottery and having a little fun while helping others. The more people who play, the more money is raised and the bigger will be the prize fund! The SCKPA Lottery provides a constant flow of funds (minimum 50% of ticket sales) throughout the year.

The winner will receive 50% of the accumulated prize fund. Results are posted online and can also be emailed. If you require results to be ‘snail mailed’ directly to you please provide a stamped addressed envelope.

How to play the SCKPA Lottery

You will need to download and print an SCKPA Lottery Ticket. A complete set of the SCKPA Lottery Rules is available.

Each entry will nominate 6 numbers (from 1 – 59) and each of these will be matched with the National Lottery Lotto numbers drawn each Saturday until a winning entry is found i.e. the first entry to reach 6 matching numbers.

Each Entry costs £1.30 per week. There are no limits to the number of entries an individual can buy – up to five entries can be put on each official lottery ticket and payment must be received. Cheques made payable to ‘Six Counties Kidney Patients Association’ must be posted to Arthur Edwards, at the address given on the lottery ticket, to reach Arthur before the start week of each game.

Please send a cheque covering 10 weeks payment for each entry (e.g. if you submit 3 entries, a cheque for £39 is needed) or complete the SCKPA Lottery Standing Order Mandate.

How the SCKPA Lottery began

Arthur Edwards had been formally trialling the lottery in the High Wycombe area since early 2008 after running the idea past Gemma Benoliel in early 2007. The system is based on lotteries run by other charities and clubs.

Charitable causes are always looking to raise money and local committees are often tasked to raise as much as possible with dances, bring & buy, raffles, etc. Further, we always hope to receive bequests through the Wills of the deceased, but these are largely unknown until they happen and any budgeting cannot rely on this aspect. The SCKPA Lottery will provide a constant flow of funds (minimum 50% of ticket sales) throughout the year.

Arthur thought the lottery was a great idea to allow people to participate, to raise funds for SCKPA and to further raise awareness of SCKPA and what we do by encouraging friends and neighbours to join in. The SCKPA lottery ‘went global’ in July 2008.

Thank you for your continuing support
