Oxford branch help out at "The Waddesdon"
19th May 2019 Waddesdon Manor
The Oxford branch provided marshals at the annual Waddesdon Horse Event organised by the Rotary Club of Haddenham & District.
The event takes place in May and is one of the few opportunities for members of the public to ride for over 10 miles through the magnificent Waddesdon Manor estate. Around 300 people took part in this year’s event which was held by permission of Lord and Lady Rothschild and with the support of the estate managers and staff.
Up to 40 optional jumps are provided with varying degrees of difficulty, all of which have to be manned by volunteers in case jumps get knocked down or a rider or horse is injured.
The SCKPA group was organised by José Rico-Diaz, José being both a member of the Stoke Mandeville branch and Haddenham Rotary.
